Silver

Silver is the latest project i have started up. The idea of the music is elegance throughout time/pulse, a beautiful balance inbetween soundscapes and long notes. It is about improvisation as well as more minimal thinking. The improvisations having more of a linear approach rather then the normal arpeggiated or excited approach to the solos.
And having two jazz legends and four of us being long time friends makes this a very cool ensemble.Eddie Henderson, Juini Booth , Kenny Wollesen .. what else can I say. Three great great players that also are dear to me and to each other. Juini has played with everybody from Tony Willimas life time band to Art Blakey to Joe Henderson, McCoy Tyner and Steve Grossman. Eddie has some legendary records recorded in the 70’s under his own name and has since then been active on the jazz scene. He was also a member of Herbie Hancock’s “sextant” band. Kenny Wollesen from my other project ,Love Trio, has also recorded and played with many people including John Zorn , Tom Waits,Bill Frisell, Norah Jones , Bebel Gilberto. We have just finished recording our first album. I am very excited for this to be released, probably in the fall of 2014. But first some overdubs and then mix/master.
